Connecting People and the World Through Budo
IBMA (International BudoMan Association) is a non-profit organization dedicated to human development, education, research, international exchange, and the advancement of Budo culture through martial arts.
IBMA does not regard Budo and martial arts merely as techniques for fighting or defeating others.
Rather, it emphasizes training as a means of developing oneself, respecting others, protecting the dignity of both oneself and others, and applying what is learned through Budo to life and society.
IBMA also promotes opportunities for martial artists and people interested in Budo to meet, learn from one another, deepen mutual understanding, and develop mutual respect beyond differences in nationality, language, culture, and organizational affiliation.
IBMA and IBMA Kyokushin Kai
IBMA and IBMA Kyokushin Kai share common principles and maintain a cooperative relationship, while remaining independent organizations.
IBMA Kyokushin Kai respects the history and spirit of Kyokushin Karate and seeks to preserve, study, develop, and transmit its techniques, Kata, training systems, and values as Budo to future generations.
IBMA, on the other hand, is not limited to Kyokushin Karate.
From a broader perspective, it promotes Budo education, martial arts research, human development, international exchange, and related activities.
IBMA Kyokushin Kai and Masuda Dojo also cooperate with IBMA in promoting activities that seek to apply the principles and values of Budo to life and society.
