What We Value at Masuda Dojo
Developing Strong Minds and Bodies
Training develops not only technique and physical strength, but also courtesy, self-discipline, courage, perseverance, and the ability to face difficulties.
Applying Budo to Life
We seek to apply the concentration, judgment, perseverance, self-control, and respect developed through training to school, work, family life, and society.
Learning Step by Step
Instruction is adapted to each student’s age, experience, physical condition, and purpose. Beginners can start with basic stances, movements, punches, kicks, and defensive techniques.
Transmitting Kyokushin Karate to the Future
We preserve and study the spirit, fundamentals, Kata, techniques, and training methods of Kyokushin Karate while continuing to improve their safety, educational value, and relevance for future generations.
What Makes Masuda Dojo Distinctive
Masuda Dojo does not regard winning competitions or defeating opponents as the sole purpose of Karate.
Our approach is based on the knowledge and principles systematized by founder Akira Masuda through many years of training, competition, instruction, and Budo research.
We seek to develop people who can protect themselves, respect others, continue improving themselves, and use their abilities to contribute to other people and society.
